Where can I get more information about the research study that iExhale is a part of?
iExhale was designed by researchers at Oxford Brookes University with the help of Oxford Computer Consultants and input from lung cancer clinicians, patients, and their friends and families. You can find out more information on our project web page: www.brookes.ac.uk/oxinmahr/centres-and-groups/iexhale/
If you would like more information about any aspect of this research or you would like to take part please contact: Dr Catherine Henshall (chenshall@brookes.ac.uk).
If you wish to talk to someone outside of the research team you can contact a member of your clinical care team or alternatively the Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) department (tel: 01865 221473 Email: PALS@ouh.nhs.uk). If you have any complaints about the way that you are dealt with during the study, please contact Kellie Tune, Chair of the Faculty REC at frec@brookes.ac.uk
What if I no longer want to use the app?
The app is for you to use as little or as often as you choose. You can stop using the app at any time. This doesn’t mean you also need to stop being part of the research study as your contribution is much appreciated and we would still be interested to hear about your experiences of the app at the end of the study.
What if I no longer want to be involved in the study?
You can choose to withdraw from the study at any time without giving a reason. If you withdraw from the study we will use any data collected from you in the time up to your withdrawal. If you would like to withdraw from the study please contact: Dr Catherine Henshall (chenshall@brookes.ac.uk).
